Yesterday I went to the only place in ALL OF SYDNEY that had the most manga in THE WHOLE OF AUSTRALIA. Yes, I went to Kinokuniya.
I swear, my sis, my two friends and I spent about an hour in there looking at all the stuff.
They had King of Bandit Jing and 7th Heaven, Orphen, Shaman King, Saiyuki and Reload, Death Note ( >D YES!!!), Hana-Kimi, Bleach, Angel Sanctuary, and they also had a how to draw manga book that was like.....20x20 cm long and I SWEAR IT WAS 5cm THICK.
That had artbooks, Shonen Jump and Newtype!! We were all like 8D with a bit of XD and :faints: so yeah ^^'
What was really odd though was that people would just grab a book and read!! How cheap is that?!?! Read the whole book and THEN decide whether or not to get it?! That is NOT the way to go about it! If you can afford to drag your lazy bum all the way to Town Hall then you should be able to afford to find a review on the net, or for free at a LIBRARY. Honestly, some people :shake's fist: -_-'
What was really funny though was that half the stuff they had there I had already read online, lol, I mean I could've seriously just gone up to one of the cheapos reading the book and be like a spoiler-machine and tell them the ending. And because everyone was being all cheapo and reading we were the loudest people there, rushing through the cramped halls with the footstool on wheels trailing behind us.
Out of total fandom I bought things I had already read. Get this>> I bought volume 4 of Bleach JUST BECAUSE:
1. Ishida was on the front and 2. Because the last chapter was labelled "Quincy Archer hates you".
Next, I bought 2 & 3 of Death Note (for some reason there was not a single volume 1 of ANY manga series in the ENTIRE PLACE) even though I have already read up to chapter 92 on the computer XDD.
That's a day of total fandom > or should I say fan-girl-dom> for ya!
